1. What do you know about Halloween? FIND OUT!

a) When and where is it celebrated?
Halloween is celebrated in 31st of October especially in Great Britain, Scotland, Ireland, Canada and the United States.
b) The origins of Halloween.
It has got his origins in a Celtic festival called Samhin.
c) How do children celebrate it?
Children dress scary costumes for example ghost costumes, skeleton costumes, mummy costumes... and the go to different houses. When people open de door, the children say: Trick of treat and if the people of the house don't give sweets to the children, the children do a joke to their.
d) Name typical games and costumes.
Games: Trick or treat.
Costumes: Ghost costumes, skeleton costumes, mummy costumes, vampire costumes...
e) Do you celebrate it? Explain how.
I don't celebrate Halloween every year but this year I have, I went with my friends to watch a scary film.

2. THE FILM

1. Put the following events in order to get a summary of the first part of the film.

The film is set after World war II in the Britain. Grace Stewart is a catholic mother who lives with her two small children in a remote country house. The children, Anne and Nicholas, have an uncommon disease characterized so their lives are structured around a series of complex rules designed to protect them from sunlight.
The new arrival of three servants at the house -- and aging nanny and servant named Mrs. Mills, and elderly gardener named Mr. Edmund Tuttle, and a young mute girl named Lydia -- coincides with a number of odd evnts, and Grace begins to fear that they are not alone. Anne draws pictures of four people: a man, a woman, a boy called Victor, and a scary old woman, all of whom she says she has seen in the house. A piano is heard from inside a locked room when no one is inside. Grace fins an examines a ''book of the dead,'' which shows photos taken in the 19th century of recently dead people. Every time Grace enters and exits the room, the door closes. Grace tries hunting down the ''intruders'' with a shotgun but cannot find them. Eventually, convincing herself that something unholy is in the house, she runs out in the fog to get the local priest to bless the house. Meanshile, the servants, led by Mrs. Mills, are clearly up to something of their own. The gardener buries a headstone under autumn leaves, and Mrs. Mills listens faithfully to Anne's talking against her mother. She is angry with her daghter and doesn't believe her stories until she hears them herself.
